Delete Your BudgetCycle Account

⚠️ Important Notice

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please read this page carefully before proceeding.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you delete your BudgetCycle account, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Personal Information: Your name, email address, and profile picture
  • Transaction Data: All your financial transactions, descriptions, and categories
  • Budget Settings: Your income settings and budget allocation percentages
  • Financial Goals: Any financial goals and targets you've set
  • Analytics Data: All spending insights and historical analytics
  • Preferences: App settings and customizations

🚨 This Action Cannot Be Reversed

Once your account is deleted, all your data will be permanently lost. We cannot recover your information, transactions, or settings after deletion.

How to Delete Your Account

Method 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)

  1. Open the BudgetCycle app on your device
  2. Go to Settings (bottom navigation)
  3. Scroll down to the "Account Actions" section
  4. Tap on "Delete Account"
  5. Confirm your decision in the dialog that appears
  6. Your account and all data will be deleted immediately

Note: You must be signed in to the app to use this method.

Method 2: Email Request

If you cannot access the app or prefer to contact us directly:

  1. Send an email to support@sharaninitiatives.com
  2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
  3. Include the email address associated with your BudgetCycle account
  4. We will process your request within 48 hours
  5. You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete

ℹ️ Before You Delete

Consider these alternatives:

  • Export Your Data: You can export your transaction data from the app settings
  • Sign Out: If you just want to stop using the app temporarily, you can sign out instead
  • Contact Support: If you're having issues with the app, we might be able to help resolve them

Data Deletion Timeline

  • Immediate: Your account becomes inaccessible
  • Within 24 hours: All personal data is removed from our active systems
  • Within 30 days: All data is removed from backups and logs
  • Within 90 days: Any anonymized analytics data is purged

Legal Rights

Account deletion is your right under various privacy laws including:

  • GDPR (European Union): Right to erasure ("Right to be forgotten")
  • CCPA (California): Right to delete personal information
  • Other Jurisdictions: Similar rights may apply based on your location
