1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website at sharaninitiatives.com (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms apply to all visitors and users of the Site. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Site.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sharan Initiatives, based in Bangalore, India. We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

2. About the Site

Sharan Initiatives operates this website to publish writing and to provide free tools for personal finance and health. Most of the Site — articles, AI News and calculators — can be used anonymously and requires no account.

Two parts of the Site do require you to sign in with Google: Money, a budgeting tool, and Health, a personal health log. Both are free. There are no paid plans, subscriptions or purchases anywhere on the Site.

3. Informational Purpose Only — Not Professional Advice

Content on this Site does not constitute and should not be relied upon as:

• Professional financial advice, investment advice, or tax advice
• Medical, health, or psychological advice
• Legal advice of any kind
• Any other form of professional consultation

If you need professional advice — whether financial, legal, medical, or otherwise — please consult a qualified professional licensed in your jurisdiction. The information on this Site may not be accurate, complete, or current, and individual circumstances vary widely. Sharan Initiatives is not responsible for decisions you make based on content found here.

4. Accounts and the Money and Health Apps

Signing in uses your Google account; we never receive or store your password. You are responsible for keeping access to that Google account secure, since anyone who can sign into it can reach the records you have stored here. You must be old enough to hold a Google account in your country to use these features.

Both applications are free and are offered as they are. You can export everything you have entered, or delete it permanently, from within the apps. We may stop offering either application, but we will not delete your records without telling you first and giving you a reasonable chance to export them.

You are responsible for what you enter. Please do not use these applications to store other people's personal or health information without their knowledge, and do not attempt to access any account other than your own.

5. Comments

You may comment on articles while signed in. What you post is public, and appears with the name and profile picture from your Google account. You are responsible for what you write, and you must have the right to post it.

Do not post anything unlawful, abusive, hateful, threatening, obscene or deliberately misleading; anything that infringes someone else's copyright or privacy; advertising, spam or links posted for promotion rather than discussion; or anyone's personal information, including your own. Comments are not the place for medical or financial advice to other readers.

The first comment from an account is reviewed before it appears. We may hide or delete any comment, and stop an account from commenting, at our discretion and without notice — usually because of the rules above. You keep ownership of what you write, and by posting it you give us permission to display and store it on the Site for as long as it stays up. You can delete your own comments at any time.

6. The Apps Are Not Financial or Medical Advice

This is the most important thing on this page, so it is stated separately from the general disclaimer above.

Money performs arithmetic on figures you enter and shows you the result. Its observations are simple rules applied to your own numbers. It is not financial, investment or tax advice, it does not recommend any product, fund or provider, and the investment planning sheet is a worksheet for your own allocation rather than a recommendation of any kind.

Health is a record of measurements you enter yourself. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose anything, it does not interpret results, and it has nothing to say about medication. Where a value crosses a threshold generally taken to warrant medical attention — for example a blood pressure at or above 140/90, or a laboratory result outside the reference range printed on your own report — it will say so and suggest you speak to a doctor. That is the limit of what it does, and it is not a substitute for medical care. Never delay seeking medical advice because of anything shown here, and never change any treatment based on it.

Automated features can be wrong. Values read from a laboratory report are shown to you for checking before they are saved, and you should check them; data imported from a connected device is only as accurate as that device.

7. Services You Connect

Both the Oura connection and the lab-report reading feature are optional, and both rely on services operated by other companies under their own terms.

• Connecting an Oura ring requires you to register your own application with Oura and remains subject to Oura's terms. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of Oura Health Oy.
• Reading a laboratory report uses Google Gemini with an API key you supply, and is subject to Google's terms for that service, including how Google may use submitted content on its free tier.

You are responsible for any credentials you provide and for any cost or quota consumed on your own accounts. We do not pay for, guarantee the availability of, or control these third-party services, and either integration may stop working if the provider changes it.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site — including but not limited to text, articles, blog posts, images, graphics, logos, icons, software code, and the overall design and layout — is owned by or licensed to Sharan Initiatives and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws, including copyright law under the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, and international conventions.

You are permitted to:

• View and read content on the Site for your personal, non-commercial use
• Share links to our pages on social media or other platforms
• Quote brief excerpts from our blog posts, provided you clearly attribute the content to Sharan Initiatives and link back to the original page

You are NOT permitted to:

• Copy, reproduce, or republish our content in full on another website or platform without our written permission
• Use our logo, brand name, or trademarks in any way that might suggest endorsement or affiliation without our consent
• Sell, license, or commercially exploit any content from this Site
• Modify, create derivative works from, or reverse-engineer any part of the Site

• Impersonate: Impersonate Sharan Initiatives, our team, or any other person or entity, or falsely claim an affiliation with us.
• Spam or scrape: Send unsolicited communications, automated requests, or use bots or scrapers to collect data from the Site at a rate that burdens our infrastructure.
• Interfere: Take any action that could disable, overburden, or impair the proper functioning of the Site or interfere with other users' access to it.
• Bypass security: Attempt to circumvent any security feature, access restriction, or content protection mechanism on the Site.
• Infringe rights: Post, transmit, or distribute content that infringes the copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of any third party.

We reserve the right to block access to the Site from any user or IP address that we believe is engaging in prohibited activity.

Advertisements displayed on our Site are served by Google AdSense. The appearance of an advertisement does not constitute our endorsement of the advertised product or service.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objection to the laying of venue in Bangalore.

15. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Site, you consent to the data practices described in that policy.
